Blue and Mako sharks
The pelagic sharks of San Diego offer a very unique, cage-free experience. The calm, inquisitive blue sharks along with the warm-blooded, high energy mako sharks provide intimate yet exhilarating blue water encounters.
During the late summer, the kelp forests off the coast begin teeming with fish and invertebrates of all kinds. A unique and beautiful ecosystem, the temperate, nutrient-rich waters of California support vibrant underwater forests at depths ranging from 30-100 feet.
The late summer ocean brings many interesting creatures to the oceans just offshore - from blue whales to common dolphins and mola-mola, you never know what you’ll find.

Pacific Ocean Encounters
Tuna and other finfish migrate north from Baja Mexico into Southern California. Hammerhead and mako sharks follow their prey into San Diego, they join the blue sharks which are offshore year round.
The summer water brings both krill and kelp paddies to San Diego, which draws in pelagic wildlife including blue, finback, humpback and minke whales. Bottlenose, Risso’s, Pacific white sided and common dolphins and mola molas.
Kelp forest diving you can find sharks, rays, sea lions, harbour seals along with a variety of marine wildlife in the kelp stalks measuring up to 100 feet long.

40’ Convertible Yacht
Elegant saloon with sophisticated fabrics, a beautiful wood finish and upgraded hardware. All appliances are available including stove, oven, refrigerator, icemaker and microwave. The sofa converts to a double bed and two bunk style beds are in a room next to the stateroom. The forward stateroom has a queen berth, two cedar-lined lockers and an overhead hatch. Access to the head, which has a separate shower stall, is from this stateroom or the passageway. Plenty of room inside and outside on the back deck or up top on the flybridge to get a great view of all the wildlife in the Pacific Ocean.
Custom 25’ Center Console
Speed and wide open views are the specialty of our 25’ center console. For smaller groups this boat provides an excellent platform for an agile open ocean experience. This is a fun boat that gives you the opportunity to have unobstructed views and plenty of room for your family or to enjoy SCUBA trips.
Your day on the ocean will begin around 9am where you will be provided with breakfast on the boat as we motor out to the open ocean. We will be searching for opportunities to show you the incredible wildlife as we travel to our destination. Everything will be provided for you to have an incredible experience with SDEXPEDITIONS.
