Dive Report – Trip 7 ( August 31st -September 4th)
Hola!!
Another amazing trip to Guadalupe Island ,paradise for shark lovers!! We found Great White Sharks since the first moment that we sat the cages in the water. The first Great White to bite the bait was a big male of 4 m/12ft. After that we watched more and more sharks each time. We have a good action at the cages at the surface as the great whites were opening their jaws, breaching and circling around them. From the submersible cage the action was non-stop: 3 to 4 sharks swimming around, closer and closer each time. BIG guys!! 3m /9ft to 4m/12ft in length and massive bodies, swimming fast from the 30ft/9m accelerating and attacking the bait at the surface, doing vertical attacks and taking and fighting the wranglers by surprise.
During this trip the Great Whites were breaching more than usual and one of the highlights was to watch one of them breaching with all its massive body out the water in front of the platform for the delightful of the photographers at the sundeck. We can say that it was possible to watch at least 10 different Great Whites and few juveniles which were very active around the cages at the surface, turning around and biting at all the time.
Amazing trip, lots of fun and LOTS of adrenaline!!
See you soon!!
