SOCORRO ISLANDS DIVING – 2019 2020 SEASON – TRIP 1
After a great Guadalupe season, the Solmar V Liveaboard is ready to discover whats waiting for us underwater at the majestic Revillagigedo islands and as usual it couldn’t get better for the first trip.
We started at El Cañon with great hammerhead action all over the place, dolphins swimming close to the divers, mantas hovering at the top and the cleaning station was loaded with silvertips and Galapagos sharks.
Roca Partida showed us again why is one of the best spots at the archipelago, having great white tip reef sharks action at the north point with over 30 sharks swimming along the rock. We could encounter false killer whales at the surface and great schools of tunas surrounding the islet.
In Socorro we could have the best hammerhead sight with over 20 sharks swimming across the ridge, more dolphins swirling between the divers and the occasional manta getting their usual bubble bath.
We finished the trip diving at Boiler with more than 7 different mantas along the day, few hammerheads in the blue and the dolphins getting clean at the deep areas, as the day passed by we could enjoy more mantas hovering at the pinnacle.
Great diving at Revillagigedo Islands, hoping the best for this season.
